FAQs
Does
Deuce Management & Promotion offer the package to
every band or artist that sends a CD to them?
No.
Deuce Management & Promotion has built a strong relationship
with a large number of radio stations due to the high
standard of music sent to them. It would be detrimental
for Deuce to promote average / below average sounding
bands and artists to these stations as it would reflect
badly on the company. We do however offer a number of
options to bands and artists if we believe their material
is not up to radio play standard such as re-mastering
and studio time all designed to meet your budget.
If
we register with Deuce Management & Promotion, are
we still able to work with other promotion or management
companies?
Yes.
The inital package offered by Deuce is an open contract
and you are free to work with other companies at the same
time.
Why
are we unable to be paid royalties through radio play?
Some
of the radio stations Deuce sends your material to have
been set up purely so they can help bands receive exposure.
Due to tight budgets though, they are unable to pay out
each time your music is played.
Do
we need to contact Deuce Management & Promotion to
organise our chosen Deuce Night gig?
Yes.
Please allow 2 months notice and notify Deuce which venue
you would like to play at. Deuce will then contact the
venue on your behalf and provide you with available dates
to chose from.
Which
radio stations does Deuce send CDs to?
Deuce
Management & Promotion will send your CDs and MP3s
to a variety of FM, Digital, University and Internet stations
throughout the UK and across the world. All of these stations
are keen to hear bands that are promoted by Deuce and
will ensure your music is given exposure if they enjoy
what they hear.
Is
the Deuce Package a management deal?
No.
It is a promotion package used to assess the feedback
you receive from radio stations/listeners, reviewers,
gig performances etc and also to see how commited bands
and artists are. If you can see things from Deuce's perceptive,
all we currently know about you at present is what we
hear on your CD and what we can read on your website.
After all of the services in the package have been fulfilled
though, we will offer you a management deal if we believe
we can take things further for your band.
Are
photoshoots and studio time included in the package.
No.
However, once registered with Deuce we can find the best
photographers and/or studios in the UK to fit your budget
for you at no extra cost.
What
is an 'Industry Approved' press pack?
The
press pack has been designed to give recipients brief
and concise information on the band and consists of a
covering letter, bio and CD. Prior to Deuce going live,
surveys were sent out to hundreds of radio stations, record
labels, publications/fanzines and various other industry
figures all of which confirmed the press pack included
all the information they required.
Who
does the reviews and where are they posted?
The reviews are written by people
Deuce advertised for who are interested in hearing bands
promoted by Deuce. These will then be posted on the Deuce
website and various fanzines.
