Phoenix
Williams Review
A
good airy vocal performance over a lazy laid back acoustic
and shuffling drums makes for a breath of fresh air
and there is nothing better than a simple song sung
well. This acoustic based demo is better than a lot
of masters that I hear coming out of record labels these
days which is testament to who ever produced it, who
obviously knows their way around a mixing console. Music
like this should be signed, played and applauded. Well
done. Record labels put her on your to call list now"

If
your looking for the perfect backdrop to a relaxing
evening, a theme tune for the sun setting... and then
the sunrise or just some blissful chilled music for
an afternoon with friends then you had better stop right
there. Beautiful Brighton based talent Phoenix Williams,
with her sugar sweet vocals and mellow guitar style,
may just be able to deliver all four with just one EP.
Her overall sound, somewhat familar bears a slight resemblance
and somewhat eclectic cross between Christian vocalist
Jacqui Velasquez, Delta Goodram and Daniel Powter (the
guy who 'had a bad day'). Nevertheless she sings with
a heartfelt passion that can't help but draw you in.
Track 2 'Lover let go' wouldn't be out of place if it
were included in a film soundtrack as part of an emotional
scene, and track 3 'Permanently in my heart' actually
was featured in film 'Lena-The bride of ice'. More recently
her music has been showcased in the media on both the
radio and through magazines, and it is easy to see why.
Great voice, great acoustics, great emotion: great artist..By
