Playmaker

A four piece band with the classic bass, drums, two guitars and two vocals. Playmaker mix tunes with power chords and serve it up with the right amount of attitude to create an eclectic sound, which is both unique and instantly addictive. Originally from all four points of the English compass, Playmaker are now based in London, where they have built up a strong reputation for their live performances. Last year the band released their 'Arizona' single through small indie label Pale Fox, that topped the Storm Radio listeners chart for 5 weeks running and it was also played by Steve Lamaque and Clare Sturgess on XFM. Clare Sturgess (XFM) On hearing a promo copy of the single former Crowded House manager Grant Thomas immediately licensed the single via Pale Fox for release in Australia on his indie label Little Big Music. The video for Arizona, featuring the band playing in a battered caravan was directed by Jon Harris (editor of Snatch and Layer Cake)
