Deuce Management & Promotion is pleased to announce that 3 Deuce Acts from the UK
, USA and Australia have been nominated for awards at this year’s The Hollywood Music
In Media Awards (HMMA) which will be taking place at The Highlands in the world famous
Kodak Theater complex in Hollywood, CA; home of The Oscars, on 18 November 2010.
HMMA recognises music based on creative merit rather than artist popularity, airplay,
sales or label affiliation. Using this approach, it offers talented artists from
anywhere in the world exposure and connectivity to the most influential professionals
and organisations in the music industry and the ‘licensing machine’ of Hollywood.
The event will also be shot and post-edited for a televised broadcast in 17 countries
including the UK and US territories reaching millions of households .
The 3 Deuce Acts nominated are:
- Louise le Gry from the UK, has been nominated for Best Female Vocal Award .
Deuce
has helped Louise le Gry with two radio campaigns since 2008 which has resulted in
extremely positive feedback from presenters and listeners and has now seen her regularly
being featured on the Deuce Radio Show. Her debut album Shadows still continues to
surprise and delight people through her heart felt honesty and emotive sound and
with this nomination, more listeners are expected to be drawn to her music following
the initial 8,000 downloads of the album within the first 6 weeks of release.
Further
information on Louise le Gry can be found on her website www.louiselegry.net
- Spaceship Days from North Carolina, USA, have been nominated for Best Alternative
Act Award
Spaceship Days have made remarkable progress on the US music scene since
forming in 2009. In their short period together, the band have already supported
the likes of REM and The Goo Goo Dolls and performed at the music event SXSW in Austin,
Texas. On top of this, Spaceship Days have been featured on a number of radio stations
worldwide including the Deuce Radio Show where they have become huge favorites.

- Bedford from Victoria, Australia, have been nominated for Best Rock Act Award
After
the success of their debut album Right Now which saw them winning at the LA Music
Awards for their I Am Alive single in 2006, along with hitting the number one spot
and awarded Album Of The Year on Australian Internet Radio, Bedford will soon be
releasing their new album Whatever It Takes
Lead singer David Trimboli is thought
by many to be the love child of Lenny Kravitz and Chris Cornell even though he is
Egyptian, and with a sound that is Pop enough for radio and heavy enough to appeal
to younger audiences, it is highly likely you will be hearing a lot more about Bedford
in the near future!
